A grieving sound engineer investigating an abandoned mill captures impossible voices on his recordings and uncovers a deadly secret that refuses to remain silent.
Reverb was written and directed by Robert Rosenbaum. Faced with the challenge of producing a feature film without studio backing or traditional financing, he turned to generative AI as a new filmmaking tool.
Working alone on a single computer over a six-month period, Mr. Rosenbaum created and refined thousands of individual shots, then painstakingly assembled them into a feature-length motion picture using traditional filmmaking techniques, including editing, sound design, visual effects, color grading, and post-production compositing.
Though created with the assistance of AI, Reverb remains the product of a single filmmaker’s vision, combining emerging technology with the countless creative and technical decisions required to bring a motion picture to life.
